The Giver
by lois lowry
In the book by Lois Lowry, Jonas is a boy who at the age of 12 has a perfect life. Until he is chosen to be the student of The Giver who is to keep all of the memories of the pleasure but also the pain. Lois is a very detailed author, I know that because ive read Numbering the Stars by herself. Although its a very sad story it is also very interesting. In the dedication, Lois wrote ´´For all the children to whom we entrust the future´; perhaps this means that this book is for the children or teenagers which parents are trying to form they were formed too, yet they try to do the best in their own way . When I revised the book I thought it would be like Lego the Movie, yet it starts as a perfct pretty world where EVERYONE sings and dance and then Emmet ( protagonist) was chosen as the Elected One to save everyone. In conclusion, maybe this book would be as interesting as counting the stars but with the sequence of lego the movie.
Ana Isabel, I liked the way you connected the book The giver with Number the Stars and how you compared the sequence of the story to Lego. Its a good way to connect your reading to another text and to explain what you think the book is going to be about in a different way!
